Following the tremendous success of the Shanling M6 and Shanling M6 Pro, Shanling has unveiled its new reference-level digital audio player, the Shanling M8. The M6/M6 Pro has been their mid-range offering for quite some time now, and now it’s time to announce the release of an updated player. Shanling M8 is a high-end flagship portable audio player equipped with industry-leading chipsets and many other latest features. Shanling announced a price of $1659. The Shanling M8 is scheduled to be released at the end of November this year.

Shanling M8 is equipped with a powerful dual DAC. It houses two flagship AK4499 DAC chips from Asahi Kasei Technologies (AKM). It is a high-performance 32-bit DAC chipset designed using the latest technology to deliver industry-leading low distortion and low noise performance. M8 is equipped with XMOS XU208 USB signal receiver chip, it supports PCM decoding up to 32Bit/768kHz and DSD up to DSD512.

Replaceable headphone jack
Shanling has brought innovation to the M8. The M8 is the world’s first high-resolution digital audio player to feature interchangeable headphone output ports. You can simply replace the headphone jack according to your requirements. Included are 2.5mm Bal, 4.4mm Bal, 3.5mm Pro Bal and 3.5mm SE headphone ports.
