Aune S17 Pro EVO is an innovative discrete Class A balanced headphone amplifier that also functions as a preamp. This amplifier offers robust amplification capabilities alongside a well-considered design, making it suitable for a diverse array of headphones ranging from 32 to 600 ohms.
The device features balanced outputs and incorporates an output stage that utilizes two parallel pairs of transistors for each channel, totaling 16 output transistors. With the integration of an R2R volume control, it ensures accurate signal level management and delivers a rich sound stage. Additionally, the independent volume control for both line and headphone outputs enhances user convenience, while an upgraded cooling system ensures reliable performance even during demanding conditions.
The front panel is equipped with a color display that presents details regarding volume, output type, current mode, and device temperature. It offers inputs through both balanced XLR connectors and unbalanced RCA connectors, facilitating the amplifier’s integration into a range of Hi-Fi systems.
A meticulously engineered cooling system featuring internal radiators and a substantial metal plate efficiently dissipates heat, maintaining stable class A amplification. The power supply’s integrity is ensured by a 50-watt toroidal transformer paired with capacitors totaling 19,200 μF, minimizing interference between the analog and digital components of the device.
The amplifier delivers a total output of 7.5 W at a 32-ohm load, enabling it to perform reliably with high-demand headphone models.
