TinyCircuits has submitted and has already launched (funded) a Kickstarter project that will give backers the very small TinyTV 2 or even smaller TinyTV Mini. Recall that last year appeared Tiny TV Classics, a miniature TV, stylized as models of different years, capable of showing some kind of video sewn forever in its memory.
This time, TinyTV 2 with a 1-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 216 x 135 pixels received 8 GB of memory – you can save a lot of movies in this resolution. And then, “switching channels”, watch each of them exactly from the place where the viewing was interrupted.
This is the attractive feature of the built-in player that runs on the Raspberry Pi processor. In addition to the channel switch knob, there is a volume knob under the screen, and between them there is a miniature speaker. In order not to get up once again, you can use the remote control (it is also small, but not so much). Charging the TV, as well as downloading the video, takes place via USB-C, the battery lasts for two hours.
For those who find TinyTV 2 too big, the TinyTV Mini has a 0.6-inch square OLED screen with a resolution of 64 x 64. The rest of the parameters of the two TVs are similar. The first TinyTV 2 and TinyTV Mini are expected to arrive in March 2023.
In the US, micro TVs from TinyCircuits will cost $50 each.
