Aston Martin Valhalla Gets a Custom 700W Sound System by Bowers & Wilkins

With the Valhalla, Aston Martin introduces not only hybrid supercar technology to the streets but also a custom high-end sound system from Bowers & Wilkins. The 14-channel system, delivering 700 watts of power, integrates cutting-edge technologies like Bowers & Nautilus tweeters, QuantumLogic Immersion, and Dirac Unison. This results in a sound experience that enhances the driving experience of the Valhalla to an entirely new level.

When two icons of the British luxury industry join forces, the result is more than the sum of its parts. This is how Bowers & Wilkins (B&W) and Aston Martin describe their renewed collaboration. Aston Martin, synonymous with elegant, performance-oriented cars for decades, and B&W, one of the world’s most renowned loudspeaker manufacturers, combine their expertise in the new Aston Martin Valhalla.

We recently wrote about the collaboration between Swedish car manufacturer Polestar and B&W . The Polestar 5 is a fully electric car with a rear seat and a 21-channel sound system from B&W with a total amplifier output of 1,680 watts. B&W is also collaborating with British car manufacturer Aston Martin, as the new Valhalla will be equipped with a 14-channel sound system with 700 watts of power. That may seem like a lot less, but the Aston Martin Valhalla only has two seats and is therefore much smaller inside. Furthermore, the Valhalla is completely different from the Polestar 5. The Valhalla is based on a mid-mounted 4-liter V8 engine, the fuel consumption of which is not yet known. The Valhalla also features assistance from three electric motors. It is therefore a hybrid car.

Aston Martin Valhalla with B&W audio system: features

  • B&W’s custom-made in-car entertainment system
  • 14 speakers, including the Nautilus Double Dome Tweeter and Continuum midrange
  • 14-channel power amplifier with a maximum output power of 700 watts
  • Signal Processing with QuantumLogic Immersion and Dirac Unison
  • Three sound modes: Studio, Stage and Driver
  • Stainless steel speaker covers for acoustic and optical optimization
  • Seamless integration into the interior of the Aston Martin Valhalla
  • Part of a wider collaboration between Aston Martin and B&W (including the Aston Martin DB12, Aston Martin Vantage and Aston Martin DBX707)

The end result is a bespoke in-car audio system that combines high-performance technology with pure audio enjoyment, pushing the boundaries of traditional in-car entertainment systems, the two companies explained at the unveiling of Aston Martin’s first mid-engine PHEV supercar with true hypercar performance.

The developers state that nothing has been left to chance when it comes to signal processing. Technologies like QuantumLogic Immersion and Dirac Unison are leading the way, creating an immersive soundscape in the car’s interior that can be experienced in Studio, Stage, or Driver mode. This allows the sound profile to be tailored to the driving situation and personal preferences.

The speakers seamlessly blend in with the interior of the Aston Martin Valhalla. Elegant stainless steel grilles with acoustic optimization emphasize the uncompromising design that distinguishes both Aston Martin and B&W. The system is not only a technical highlight but also an aesthetic statement that combines luxury and functionality.

The collaboration between the two brands is not an isolated incident, as models like the Aston Martin DB12, Aston Martin Vantage, and Aston Martin DBX707 are already equipped with bespoke B&W entertainment systems. However, the Aston Martin Valhalla marks the next step, combining the uncompromising performance of a supercar with an acoustic experience normally found only in high-end studios.
