As part of the CES 2024 exhibition, the company AI Shark, which in the late 90s of the last century produced “cheat” controllers for Nintendo and PlayStation consoles under the name GameShark, officially presented a line of new gadgets, the main feature of which is the integration of artificial intelligence. The most interesting solution in the entire line is the gamepad, which, according to the developers, based on smart algorithms, will adapt to the playing style of a particular user to make it more convenient and effective for him to fight in virtual worlds. For example, this AI-powered device can suggest gamers to reassign certain buttons or adjust sensitivity depending on how a person plays.
The authors of the project note that the controller will constantly analyze the player’s actions, offering him various innovations in order to adapt to the characteristic features of a person’s style and increase his efficiency in games. As a result, beginners who are just starting to use a gamepad will be able to get an advantage, and experienced gamers will have an advanced tool to achieve their goals. Unfortunately, as part of the presentation, the developers did not demonstrate the operation of the function, plus they did not specify for which platform the gamepad was developed. Judging by the markings of the keys and the location of the sticks, this is a gamepad for PCs and Microsoft consoles, but this is just a guess.

The company also has other gadgets in its arsenal, but their development, apparently, is still underway – they were only announced at the exhibition, but were not shown. We are talking about a keyboard, mouse, headset and some kind of computing unit. Probably, these devices will provide a similar set of functions, which in theory will allow AI Shark to reach a global sales level – gamers love “legal” cheats. And in general, the development of the computer components market (especially peripherals) indicates that AI will be used to gain an advantage more and more often – MSI recently released a monitor with cheats, now there is a gamepad and an Aim-bot based on algorithms. I wonder how this will affect the eSports market.
