Canton has updated its Vento line of loudspeakers. According to the makers, the Vento series is a modern line of loudspeakers that combine design, sound, and quality at the highest level. Inspired by the Italian word for “wind,” the concept follows an idea of lightness and movement. “Fluid forms, a refined arch shape, and precisely tuned cabinets form the basis for a soundstage that unfolds freely and naturally in the space,” says Canton about the updated Ventos.
Design and styling
The Vento series by Canton is characterized by a modern and refined arched shape, with softly rounded front and back. This design minimizes visible edges while simultaneously reducing potential driver diffraction. High-quality materials and precise workmanship emphasize the Vento series' ability to blend harmoniously into diverse living environments. Magnetically attached fabric grilles further contribute to a sleek, minimalist appearance.
Housing and construction
An important feature of the Canton Vento series is the advanced cabinet construction. Multilayer curved MDF structures help minimize unwanted resonances. The Canton Vento series also utilizes an advanced chamber system that decouples individual drivers from each other, promoting pure sound reproduction. Additionally, targeted internal damping is applied to control reflections and improve sound precision.
Technology, precision down to the details
The Vento series tweeter system is based on a high-quality black ceramic dome with BC technology and is designed for maximum detail reproduction. The new, specially developed square waveguide in the tweeter region ensures controlled and uniform dispersion. In the mid- and low-frequency regions, aluminum titanium black (ATB) diaphragms are used, which enable accurate signal reproduction thanks to their stiffness and low weight. This technical design contributes to the detailed and low-distortion sound reproduction of the Vento series.
The Canton Vento series is designed for a balanced and natural sound. Voices are reproduced clearly and with excellent differentiation, while instruments are presented with accurate spatial representation. In the low frequency range, a tuned bass reflex system ensures controlled pressure and clear definition.
