Acoustic Energy will present an anniversary model to the public at the North West Audio Show, which will take place this coming weekend on June 27 and 28 in Cranage (UK): the AE2 40th Anniversary Edition. Visitors will be the first to hear the sound of this loudspeaker. The AE2 40th Anniversary follows the introduction of the AE1 40th Anniversary loudspeaker in 2025 and is part of the run-up to the celebration of the company's 40th anniversary.
Acoustic Energy AE2 40th Anniversary (Limited) Edition
Based on the design of the original AE2 Signature, the new loudspeaker has been redeveloped by Acoustic Energy's in-house design team, incorporating a series of modern updates into the design. The loudspeaker is reportedly coming in a limited edition, but we do not know the size of the run.

The AE2 40th Anniversary uses drivers derived from the AE1 and features additional internal steel plates designed to reduce cabinet resonance. According to Acoustic Energy, the loudspeaker is intended to build upon the approach taken with the AE1 40th Anniversary , but with a greater range and higher output.

The AE2, positioned above the AE1 in the range, was developed for larger listening rooms.

The design aims to combine the output and presence of a small floor-standing loudspeaker with the placement flexibility and stereo imaging advantages typically associated with monitor models.
