The 7.1-channel Arcam AVR31 is currently the most powerful model in the updated Arcam AV receiver series. The device supports the Dolby Atmos 3D sound format (5.1.2-channel configuration), but can also operate in 7.1.4-channel mode, which requires an additional 4-channel power amplifier or a pair of 2-channel power amplifiers. Support for the DTS:X codec and IMAX Enhanced is declared. Audiophile listening is optimized with full 16-channel Dirac calibration on board, as well as easy streaming from a mobile device using the standard app of your choice via Apple Airplay2 or Google Chromecast.

The receiver’s power supply is equipped with a large toroidal transformer. The amplifier stages operate in the G-class, which is more efficient than the AB class, since it uses a controlled power source. The power provided is 7 x 100 W (8 Ohm). The Dirac Live system is engaged in automatic calibration of the speakers, allowing for the most accurate settings using computer software.

The Arcam AVR31 model is equipped with an Ethernet port for connecting to a local network to play files in compressed and lossless formats from PC, Mac or UPnP server libraries. There is support for vTuner (Internet radio) and Spotify web services. To control the receiver, you can use not only the remote control, but also the network (IP control), as well as iOS devices with the MusicLife application.

Arcam AVR31 has 7 inputs and 3 outputs of the latest generation HDMI (version 2.1). HDCP 2.3 technology is supported, allowing you to play video content in 8K resolution, which is protected from copying. One of the HDMI ports supports the MHL function for broadcasting high-resolution video from mobile devices. The device has a 7.2.4-channel Pre Out, as well as a sufficient number of linear and digital inputs. There is a USB input for playing audio from external drives (with the ability to recharge). There are trigger connectors, IR sockets, an RS-232 interface, etc. Seven pairs of screw terminals are used to connect speakers.
