The very first USB digital-to-digital converter (DAC), the Iris 12Th is the fruit of three years of research and development by Denafrips , utilizing extensive know-how in DAC design and related technologies.
This interface allows you to expand the digital connectivity of your audio system or computer while improving sound quality. Moreover, Iris works perfectly with a wide range of DAC models and brands on the market. The data stream of the incoming USB digital signal is stored in a FIFO buffer and then resampled using the on-chip femtosecond oscillator. This procedure significantly minimizes jitter, ensuring a signal free of digital noise. Moreover, the Iris 12th is galvanically isolated, protecting the signal from electrical noise and maintaining signal integrity throughout the conversion process.
The Iris 12Th power stage is also optimized to provide all circuits with a clean and stable electrical signal. It includes a large 60VA UP-OCC O-Core copper transformer and 8 precision LDO voltage regulators.
In addition to this conversion, Denafrips Iris 12th uses advanced processing technologies to improve the audio quality of the output signal.
Denafrips Iris 12Th boasts extensive connectivity options. While input is via USB-B port, output includes I2S HDMI LVDS, I2S RJ45 LVCMOS, AES/EBU, optical and Toslink coaxial. The Iris 12Th also features BNC inputs for connecting an external clock.
