Klipsch has formally introduced Reference Premiere III, a nine-model speaker range designed to serve both two-channel music systems and multichannel home theaters. The third-generation lineup refines the company’s established horn-loaded architecture while adding revised cabinets, updated connections and several Dolby Atmos options.
A refined Tractrix horn design
Rather than replacing the core design principles of Reference Premiere, Klipsch has concentrated on changes intended to improve dispersion and control unwanted resonance. Central to the new generation is a redesigned high-density axial Tractrix horn made with an improved BMC material.
The horn is now mounted flush with the front baffle. Klipsch says this arrangement helps reduce resonance and diffraction while maintaining more consistent dispersion across a wider listening area. A 2.5 cm titanium Linear Travel Suspension tweeter sits behind the horn.
Copper-colored Cerametallic woofers remain a defining visual and technical element throughout the range. With many headline specifications staying relatively close to those of the preceding models, Reference Premiere III represents a targeted evolution focused on the horn, enclosure construction and acoustic behavior rather than a wholesale change of direction.
Nine models for stereo and home theater
The lineup covers floorstanding speakers, bookshelf models, center channels, surrounds and dedicated height solutions. At the top of the range is the RP-8263FA Dolby Atmos floorstander, which combines two 8-inch Cerametallic woofers with a horn-loaded main tweeter. Its integrated upward-firing Atmos section uses a separate 1-inch tweeter and a 6.5-inch driver.
Klipsch specifies a frequency range of 35 Hz to 25 kHz and sensitivity of 98 dB for the main section of the RP-8263FA. Two conventional floorstanding speakers are also included for systems that do not require an integrated upward-firing module.
The RP-6103M and RP-5103M provide the range’s bookshelf options. The larger RP-6103M uses a 6.5-inch Cerametallic woofer and is rated for a frequency range of 44 Hz to 25 kHz, sensitivity of 94.5 dB and continuous power handling of 100 watts.

Dolby Atmos and surround-system options
Home-theater installations can be assembled with the RP-5403C and RP-5203C center speakers, the RP-5203S surround speaker and the RP-5103SA height model. The RP-5103SA can be placed on top of a compatible speaker for upward-firing Dolby Atmos reproduction or mounted on a wall when the room requires a different installation approach.
The variety of cabinet formats allows Reference Premiere III to support systems ranging from conventional stereo pairs to larger immersive-audio configurations. Klipsch is also introducing the speakers alongside a separate Reference Premiere Compact Subwoofer series, extending the update beyond the nine passive speaker models.

Updated cabinets, ports and system setup
Reference Premiere III cabinets feature a sharper exterior design, while the floorstanding models receive adjustable metal feet. Klipsch has also revised the rear connections across the lineup. Applicable models retain rear-facing Tractrix ports, and buyers can choose between ebony and walnut finishes.
Integration with compatible Onkyo AV receivers continues through Klipsch Optimized Mode. This feature automatically applies model-specific crossover settings when supported Klipsch speakers and Onkyo electronics are used together, reducing part of the initial configuration work for a multichannel system.

Availability
Klipsch expects the Reference Premiere III range to become available in the United States from October, with other markets scheduled to follow. Pricing and detailed availability information have not yet been announced.
Reference Premiere III broadens Klipsch’s established speaker platform without abandoning its familiar horn-loaded identity. The redesigned Tractrix horn, updated cabinetry and flexible Atmos models position the range for both dedicated music systems and complete home theaters.
