Anker Innovations has never been shy about pushing the boundaries of home entertainment, and its latest announcement proves just that. Under its SOUNDCORE brand, the company has introduced the Nebula X1 Pro, a high-end 4K projector that doesn’t just promise a stunning picture, but also aims to replace your entire home theater audio setup in one compact device.

A Cinema in Your Living Room

What makes the Nebula X1 Pro stand out immediately is its integrated 7.1.4 surround sound system. Instead of needing multiple speakers scattered around your room, this projector carries its own sophisticated sound array: seven horizontal speakers, a dedicated subwoofer for deep bass, and four upward-firing drivers to create overhead effects. Add support for Dolby Atmos, Dolby Audio, and Anker’s own FlexWave surround technology, and you’ve got a projector that doubles as a full home cinema audio system.

To make sure everything sounds exactly as it should in your room, the system uses automatic calibration via four built-in microphones, fine-tuning the sound to your environment. For those who like to cut the cables, Anker even claims up to 8 hours of battery life, meaning you can take your movie nights outdoors without worrying about power.

The projector software is based on the Google TV platform with support for Dolby Vision technology.

Laser-Powered Picture

Of course, a projector is only as good as its visuals, and here too the Nebula X1 Pro doesn’t disappoint. It uses a triple-laser light source that delivers up to 3,500 ANSI lumens of brightness—bright enough to comfortably use even in rooms that aren’t pitch-dark. The contrast performance is equally impressive, with a native 5,000:1 ratio and a dynamic contrast of 56,000:1, ensuring crisp blacks and vibrant highlights.

The projector supports 110% of the BT.2020 color space, which means it’s capable of displaying a wider range of colors than most consumer projectors. The throw ratio is flexible too, ranging from 0.9 to 1.5:1, giving you the ability to project a large screen even in relatively small rooms.

Smarter by Design

On the software side, the Nebula X1 Pro runs on Google TV, which means access to all the popular streaming services, apps, and recommendations you’d expect from a modern smart TV. Dolby Vision HDR support is included, making compatible movies and shows look richer and more lifelike.

Setup has been made simple as well, thanks to automatic lens adjustment and a design that’s resistant to everyday mishaps. With an IP43 rating, the projector is protected against dust and light splashes—handy if you’re planning to use it for outdoor movie nights.

Pricing and Availability

The Nebula X1 Pro isn’t just another gadget launch—it’s making its debut through a Kickstarter campaign, giving early supporters a chance to secure it at a discount. Early backers will be able to get it for $2,999, or even $2,599 with a $100 reservation pledge before the campaign begins. After crowdfunding ends, the retail price is set at $4,999.

For those who don’t need all the bells and whistles, Anker will also offer a standard Nebula X1 (non-Pro) model, priced at $2,999. Shipping is expected to start in November this year, just in time for the holiday season.
