Topping has released an updated model of the LA90 power amplifier with the Discrete suffix, meaning that it uses proprietary NFCA discrete circuitry.
The amplifier is distinguished by increased power – up to 66 watts per channel with a resistance load of 8 ohms and up to 120 watts at 4 ohms . The amplifier can operate in conventional stereo and mono bridged modes, in which the power reaches 220 watts into 8 ohms . Two gain levels are available, switchable on the rear panel, as well as the ability to bypass the volume control. In this case, the Topping LA90 Discrete acts as a pure power amplifier.

There are three pairs of combined XLR/TRS balanced jacks for connecting signal sources . The body of the amplifier is made of CNC-machined aluminum panels, massive heatsinks ensure efficient heat dissipation from the output transistors.

The Topping LA90 Discrete Stereo Amplifier is available in white and black and is sold online for $799 .
