Teufel Audio has launched the Rockster 2, a powerful speaker designed for use in party venues and/or on stage. For over ten years, its predecessor, the Rockster, has been getting people moving in sports halls, clubs, festivals, and on the dance floor. With the Rockster 2, Teufel Audio is launching the best Rockster ever: more control, more flexibility, more performance, including DMX control for lighting systems, a two-channel DJ mixer, and two Bluetooth receivers for simultaneous audio sources. Need even more volume? Two units can be configured as a stereo pair.

According to its designers, the Rockster 2 is an extremely powerful, portable party speaker designed for high volumes, deep bass, and flexibility. Besides its acoustic performance, the key feature is its new controllability: DMX control allows lighting systems such as LED bars to be controlled and played synchronously with music. Furthermore, the Rockster 2 features an illuminated control panel, extensive configuration options via the Teufel Go app, and a connection concept that handles everything from karaoke nights to large outdoor parties.

Compared to its predecessor, the Rockster 2 has been improved in just the right ways for everyday event use. The sound stands out thanks to a completely redesigned tweeter with an optimized horn and a powerful woofer with a waveguide, resulting in a soundstage that is both tighter and more balanced. The controls have also been expanded: for the first time, DMX control is integrated, allowing you to control light shows directly from the system. The illuminated control panel also offers additional options, even in the dark. The updated Bluetooth connectivity ensures a stable connection with a range of over ten meters.

The Rockster 2 has also been significantly upgraded in terms of hardware and ease of use, with an improved battery for longer playtime, larger reels for greater mobility and thanks to the IPX2 certification and accessories such as the Protector and the optional Rockster Rover ROVER, this speaker is fully ready for any event, anywhere.

Volume, bass reproduction, control

The Rockster 2 boasts impressive dynamics and deep, palpable bass. Thanks to its 38-centimeter long-throw woofer, it extends low frequencies down to 36 Hz (-6 dB), while the generous bass reflex port effectively minimizes flow noise, according to the designers, even at high volumes. In the treble, the optimized horn, combined with the redesigned tweeter, delivers clear, detailed tones. The midrange is also more refined than in the previous generation, allowing vocals and guitars to remain clearly audible even in a crowded party mix.

Texas Instruments’ powerful Class D amplifier, with a total output of 440 watts RMS, and 32-bit DSP guarantee precision and control, with generous volume range and balanced dynamics. This keeps the sound stable, even when playing at high volume for extended periods.

Deliver music wirelessly or with a cable

Versatility for any event: With its integrated two-channel DJ mixer, the Rockster 2 is the radiant centerpiece of any occasion. Transitions between tracks are easily made on the device itself, and various audio sources can be flexibly combined. The two built-in Bluetooth receivers are especially convenient, allowing you to effortlessly connect two smartphones simultaneously. This is ideal for quickly switching between playlists or artists. Thanks to AAC, you can enjoy high-quality, lip-synced audio, and the Teufel Go app offers additional features.

The connections are fully geared towards live and party use: three stereo line inputs (including XLR), a mono instrument input for electric guitar or keyboard, and an XLR microphone input for dynamic microphones. The Voice Clarity function also ensures optimum speech intelligibility, perfect for presentations, announcements, or karaoke.

Light and sound in perfect harmony with DMX control

Thanks to built-in DMX control, lighting systems like LED bars and light effects can be controlled directly and synchronized perfectly with the music. This makes the Rockster 2 not only a powerful sound amplifier but also a great mood-setter for all kinds of events, from club nights to club parties.

Swivel wheels, powerful battery and waterproof

The Rockster 2 delivers up to 15 hours of playtime (at 70 dB IEC) without an outlet, thanks to a replaceable high-performance battery with deep discharge protection. You can play and charge simultaneously using the AC adapter. The built-in USB-C power bank function quickly charges your smartphone or accessories.

The Rockster 2 comes with four large lockable wheels, a power cord, a battery, and rubber pads. Prefer to go without wheels? The speaker remains stable. Its IPX2 certification makes the Rockster 2 resistant to light rain, making it ideal for outdoor use. With the optional Rockster Rover, you can easily elevate the speaker for optimal sound distribution.

Flexible and scalable

The Rockster 2 is more than just a solo player; with Party Link, you can wirelessly connect up to 100 speakers. For true stereo sound, pair two Rockster 2s via Party Link Stereo.

Prefer wired or even louder? With Party Link Wired, you can connect two or up to ten additional compatible speakers. A 2.1 setup is also possible, with the Rockster 2 acting as a subwoofer and two satellite speakers amplifying the sound.

Price and delivery information

The Rockster 2 is available immediately for just under $1,200 from the Teufel Audio website . The stereo system costs just under $2,400.
