HIFIMAN introduced the new desktop DAC/Headphone Amplifier EF 1000 DAC based on the newly developed Himalaya Pro DAC and headphone amplifier section with two pairs of transistor output stages, 13.7W balanced. The highlight of the DAC section is the use of the Hymalaya Pro Ladder DAC , an evolution of the first generation Hymalaya DAC originally introduced in 2021.
The analog input stage of the EF1000DAC is based on HIFIMAN’s proprietary 26V high voltage op-amp, 12V output, 0.0003% THD, and 100 ohm output impedance.
Thanks to the Hymalaya PRO solution and an ultra-precise discrete op amp module, the total harmonic distortion (THD) of the EF1000DAC models is as low as 0.0012%. In addition, the circuit uses a stepped volume control and a 150 W power transformer with oxygen-free copper windings.
The HIFIMAN EF1000DAC switching arsenal includes three digital inputs – USB-B, optical and coaxial, as well as a stereo analog input on RCA connectors. In addition, there is a Bluetooth adapter with support for LDAC and apt-X HD codecs. Front panel outputs include 4-pin XLR and a 6.5mm headphone jack, while unbalanced RCA and balanced XLR are located on the rear panel.

The new HIFIMAN EF 1000 DAC should go on sale in early summer 2023. In the USA the recommended retail price will be $15.000
