FiiO has launched the BTR7 Portable Bluetooth DAC/Amplifier for high quality music lovers on the go and at home. The BTR7 is a high-end device of the seventh generation, in which many interesting features have been introduced.
The BTR7 Bluetooth DAC/Amplifier is designed for wireless connection to any source – smartphones, tablets, game consoles, digital media players. It can be used wherever there is a familiar experience for the user and applications that he is not ready to give up, but either there is no headphone output, or the existing sound subsystem is not perfect enough to unlock the potential of good headphones (especially for models with a balanced connector). ).
The ergonomic aluminum housing houses a 1.3” IPS color screen with an updated bright user interface, displaying volume, power, gain mode and transmitted data format in an intuitive way. The kit includes a case with imitation leather that protects the body from scuffs when carried in a pocket.

The BTR7 is equipped with two integrated ES9219C chips, with patented HyperStream III QUAD DAC+ technology, enabled in a “dual mono” scheme, approaching the best representatives of audio equipment in detail and dynamics. Support for MQA 8x makes it possible to listen to music streaming services in the highest possible resolution. For the first time in a Bluetooth device, two THX AAA-28 modules are used in the amplification section, which provides as many as 4 channels of first-class THX AAA amplification for fully balanced connection of the most demanding headphones. As a result, power is increased by 88% over normal output and the BTR7 is 30% louder than the previous generation of amplifiers. The filling is fed by 13 linear stabilizers.
The digital part is equipped with a modern Qualcomm QCC5124 Bluetooth 5 chip, with dual DSP and dual-core microprocessor architecture. This gives not only a stable connection, but also support for LDAC / aptX HD / aptX Adaptive high-definition formats, as well as standard AAC / SBC. The body of the BTR7 has a patented bezel antenna invisible to the eye, which gives not only an attractive appearance, but also a reliable Bluetooth connection without interference. BTR7 can connect two Bluetooth devices at the same time. Digital data management is entrusted to the XMOS XUF208 microcontroller with support for 384 kHz and DSD256 in USB-DAC mode.

In order for the demanding stuff to work for a long time, the battery capacity in the BTR7 has been increased to 880 mAh. Fast wired and convenient wireless Qi charging is supported, which gives increased freedom of action and comfort of use. By the way, unlike typical USB DACs, the BTR7 does not drain the battery when connected to a smartphone via a USB cable. The device comes in two configurations: with Type-C and Lightning cables.
