Aiyima A70 MONO: Class D amplifier unveiled

Aiyima A70 Mono is a Class D amplifier built on a circuit consisting of the TPA3255 amplifier IC and the NE5532 op amp. It is capable of delivering up to 300W of power into a 4 ohm load. With the PFFB circuit design that ensures low distortion and low noise, the output of the Aiyima A70 Mono amplifier is greatly improved. In terms of performance, it is able to maintain a THD+N of 0.0001% and provides an SNR ≥ 116 dB. In addition, Aiyima has selected audiophile components such as Rubycon 63V 3300µF, Nichicon, and Wima capacitors for it.

As for the A70 Mono’s controls, there are two large potentiometers on the front panel, a switch to select “sub” or “full frequencies” on the bottom panel, and a +6 dB RCA gain control on the rear panel. Connectors include a mono RCA input and a balanced combo XLR/Jack 6.35 mm input, while the output has a speaker terminal and an output for an active subwoofer. The speaker output can also be used to connect a passive subwoofer or passive speaker system. The kit is complemented by a 12V trigger input with a 3.5 mm jack and a small potentiometer for adjusting the subwoofer’s crossover frequency (40-200 kHz).

A selector switch allows you to choose the A70 MONO operating mode depending on whether you want to power a passive subwoofer or a passive speaker system.

The large heat sink on the bottom of the Aiyima A70 MONO, combined with the side vents, allows it to handle high power levels for long periods of time without overheating. It also provides effective protection for the internal components.
