Lumin Music Systems has launched the Lumin X2, claiming to be the first flagship Lumin to feature the fastest processor to date. Following years of dedicated in-house research and development, the Lumin X2 introduces the brand new discrete DAC. The introduction of a fully discrete DAC architecture marks a milestone in Lumin’s digital evolution. The X2’s power supply is linear and housed in a separate enclosure.

Because the new DAC consists of individually selected components, every aspect of the DAC process can be precisely optimized, according to the manufacturer, i.e. from circuit topology and power delivery to clock speed and signal integrity.
The discrete architecture allows for the direct implementation of clock and conversion stages without intermediate frequency dividers, ensuring precise timing and reduced jitter in the signal path. This cohesive and stable foundation, aligned with Lumin's streaming engine, forms the basis for the next chapter of this flagship design.
The X2's power supply is housed in a separate enclosure. It is powered by a toroidal transformer, with the digital and analog circuits each having their own dedicated power supply line. The power supply for the analog circuits is dual mono for maximum channel separation.
The symmetrically constructed analog output stage is equipped with dual Lundahl output transformers. Naturally, the X2 also features the lossless volume control based on LEEDH Processing that was also used in previous models. LEEDH Processing is an innovative algorithm for digital volume control that eliminates rounding errors.
All common file formats and resolutions can be played with the Lumin X2, and all common streaming services and Internet radio are also supported.
The Lumin X2 comes in a black anodized aluminum finish and a raw anodized aluminum finish.
