Anker has launched a new smart door lock under the Eufy brand. The Eufy FamiLock E34 features palm vein recognition technology for secure, contactless unlocking.
The E34 uses a biometric palm vein recognition system based on near infrared radiation, which scans the vein pattern under the skin. The manufacturer claims that recognition accuracy is almost 100%, and unlocking occurs in less than 0.1 seconds . The system does not respond to photos, videos or fake hands – only to a real person’s palm. All biometric data is stored locally on the device to protect privacy.
A built-in door sensor detects whether the door is fully closed before automatically locking. Manual one-touch locking is also available. For added security, a PIN unlocking option is available with protection against prying eyes – you can enter random numbers before and after the real code.
The lock uses a dual power supply system: the main source is a removable 10,000 mAh battery, which lasts up to 8 months of operation . The built-in 750 mAh backup battery provides another 15 days of operation when the main one is discharged. In emergency cases, you can recharge the lock via the USB-C port.
The lock has built-in Wi-Fi, allowing you to control the device remotely and receive real-time notifications. You can configure the lock via the Eufy Security app . It supports the Matter standard , ensuring compatibility with the Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and Samsung SmartThings ecosystems.
The lock is ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 certified , a level of security suitable for commercial and domestic use. It operates in temperatures from -30°C to +70°C.
