OneOdio A10: Looks great, well-assembled and totally worth it

OneOdio A10 Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Headphones Review

One of the advantages of full-size headphones is good noise isolation. And if there is also an active noise reduction system, there is a chance to fully enjoy the music. The Oneodio Focus A10 model, despite its low cost, is equipped with ANC and copes well with urban noise.

Appearance

The earphones have a foldable design: their cups are bent 90 degrees and are bent inside the headband, thus taking up a minimum of space. The kit includes a hard case in which you can put the headphones.

The body of the bowls of the Oneodio Focus A10 is metal, and the headband is plastic. In the center of the headband there is a soft insert for more comfortable wearing. Adjustment on the head is traditional. You need to put on the headphones, stretching the bowls to the desired level. The fixation is quite reliable.

The ear cushions of the model are very soft, with leatherette trim. Large R and L symbols are printed on the fabric grid to make it easier to understand where the right and where the left cup is.

There are mechanical buttons to control music. On the right cup is the volume control and the power button, which is also used to stop and start the track. The button has a ribbed surface, so it is quite difficult to confuse it with others.

There is only one button on the left cup – it is responsible for controlling the noise reduction and transparency modes. ANC activation is confirmed by the green LED turning on.

To connect, you can use Bluetooth or a 3.5 mm input. The wire for connection is included in the package.

Sound

When evaluating sound quality, we always take into account the cost of headphones. For a budget model, the Oneodio Focus A10 plays very well. The model uses a pair of 40 mm drivers, there is support for standard AAC and SBC codecs. If you listen to complex compositions, there may not be enough detail, the bass seems a little flat. But, again, this option is not for audiophiles.

The noise cancellation system works surprisingly well. Not like top models, but in the subway it is quite possible to listen to music at a volume level of 50%, there is no desire to make it louder. Even more surprising is the transparency mode. Recall that in this mode, the gadget begins to broadcast through the speakers not only music, but also ambient sounds – this is useful, for example, when you are riding a scooter and do not want to completely break away from reality. So most often these sounds are of artificial origin – it is clearly seen that they are heard directly, but through a system of microphones and speakers. But in Oneodio A10, despite the budget model, there is no such feeling.

Battery

When one charge of the headphones is enough for several tens of hours, it is quite difficult to check the real autonomy. Definitely, even with active listening to music, the next charge will be required no earlier than in a week. The manufacturer promises up to 40 hours of operation with ANC enabled. At the same time, a 10-minute connection will be enough to use the headphones for another 5 hours. The battery is fully charged in 1 hour 20 minutes.

Conclusion

If you listen to mp3 tracks, are often outdoors or in noisy rooms, and are ready to wear full-size headphones, Oneodio Focus A10 will be a good choice. This model looks great, well-assembled, has a good “noise reduction” and good battery life.

Those who prefer uncompressed formats and are generally demanding on sound quality should look at a model with a higher class.
