The Japanese company Rhythm has introduced a versatile device called Crankspeaker — a gadget that integrates a Bluetooth speaker, FM radio, flashlight, night light, clock, and power bank. The standout feature of this new product is its entirely manual charging system: the speaker can be powered using a built-in dynamo, enabling its use even in locations without access to electricity. Additionally, a USB-C port is included for conventional charging.

Crankspeaker is designed primarily for travelers, tourists, and individuals who frequently find themselves away from home: the device weighs just 441 grams and offers up to 20 hours of use in music or radio playback mode. Besides the Bluetooth speaker, it features a bright LED flashlight at one end and a robust flat LED panel-night light with a brightness of 200 lumens. A small digital display is also included, which supports clock and alarm functions.

This model streams music via Bluetooth 5.3 (with a range of up to 50 meters), tunes into FM stations, and accommodates microSD cards and AUX input. The integrated battery, with a capacity of 4000 mAh, allows for recharging smartphones or other devices in case of emergencies. Furthermore, the foldable handle-power bank provides enough energy for 50 minutes of radio use or up to 20 minutes of light from just one minute of cranking. You can purchase a similar gadget for approximately 100 US dollars.
