Scottish loudspeaker specialist Fyne Audio has expanded its award-winning F500E series with a new, more accessible model — the Fyne Audio F55E floorstanders. Designed and engineered in Scotland, the F55E brings the company’s signature IsoFlare point-source driver technology to its most affordable full-size speaker yet.
Initially available in Black Oak (Black Ash), a Walnut finish will follow in early 2026. The F55E is priced at $1,099.99 per pair, offering an exceptional entry point into Fyne’s distinctive sound philosophy.
A Compact Floorstander with Full-Bodied Sound
The F55E is a 2.5-way floorstanding speaker featuring Fyne Audio’s patented IsoFlare driver and BassTrax Tractrix diffuser system. This combination ensures even energy distribution and a natural, coherent soundstage from a single point source.
Measuring 925 x 210 x 236 mm (H x W x D), the F55E fits comfortably in small to medium-sized rooms, while its downward-firing port design makes placement simple and flexible.

At the heart of the F55E is a 5-inch IsoFlare driver, combining a midrange cone and a coaxially mounted titanium-dome tweeter. The midrange cone, crafted from multi-fiber paper pulp, delivers a fast, natural tonal balance, while the titanium tweeter — powered by a neodymium magnet — ensures crystal-clear treble and precise imaging.
Despite its compact size, the speakers promise impressive performance thanks to a 5-inch IsoFlare driver and a downward-firing port with a BassTrax Tractrix diffuser.
Because the two elements share a single acoustic center, all frequencies radiate from one point, creating a perfectly time-aligned and phase-coherent wavefront. The result: pinpoint stereo imaging and remarkable realism across the spectrum.
BassTrax Tractrix System for Smooth, Room-Friendly Bass
Below the IsoFlare unit sits a 125mm bass driver, supported by Fyne’s BassTrax Tractrix diffuser. This unique system converts downward-firing bass energy into a 360° wavefront, dispersing low frequencies evenly throughout the room. The result is deep, articulate bass that remains consistent regardless of speaker placement.
Frequency response is rated at 42 Hz to 38 kHz (-6 dB), with 88 dB sensitivity, 8-ohm nominal impedance, and crossover points at 350 Hz and 1.8 kHz — impressive specs for such a slim, elegant enclosure.
The IsoFlare emitter is complemented by a 125mm bass driver and the BassTrax Tractrix system, which converts energy from the bottom port into a smooth, 360° low-frequency wavefront.
Each F55E cabinet is made from high-density MDF, internally braced and acoustically damped to reduce resonance and coloration. Despite its compact footprint, each speaker weighs 11.9 kg, reflecting Fyne’s commitment to solid construction and refined acoustic performance.
