Sendy Audio has launched the Sendy Audio Kylin, a desktop digital-to-analog converter and headphone amplifier designed for high-resolution audio playback. The Sendy Audio Kylin features several headphone jacks on the front panel. The device has been publicly unveiled before, but production and shipping only recently began.

Sendy Audio , a sub-brand of Sivga, is best known for its over-ear headphones, but has now presented the Kylin, a digital-to-analog converter and headphone amplifier. The Sendy Audio Kylin is housed in a machined aluminum enclosure that provides structural rigidity and heat dissipation for the Class A circuitry. The device features a minimalist desktop design with a central volume control and front-facing headphone outputs. The overall construction is designed for extended desktop use with headphones and digital sources and is intended for use with a wide range of headphones and digital sources.
DAC topology
The Sendy Audio Kylin uses an XMOS USB audio interface designed for stable, low-jitter signal transmission for digital playback. DAC conversion is handled by the ESS ES9038Q2M DAC chip, which supports high-resolution audio formats including native DSD512. According to the manufacturer, the DAC section is designed to deliver accurate playback while preserving detail and dynamic range from compatible sources.
Class A amplifier topology
The Sendy Audio Kylin's headphone amplification is handled by a Class A output stage constructed from matched Hitachi transistors. The design also incorporates WIMA and Nichicon capacitors, along with two Burr-Brown OPA604 operational amplifiers.

These components make up the analog portion of the amplifier and are designed to provide a stable power supply and consistent signal performance when driving connected headphones.
Connectivity, headphone adjustment and volume control

The Sendy Audio Kylin features several headphone outputs, including a 4-pin XLR connector, a balanced 4.4 mm jack, and an unbalanced 6.35 mm jack. The amplifier is designed to automatically adjust its output power to the impedance of your headphones.
The volume control is operated by a Japanese APLS potentiometer, while a gain switch allows users to adjust the output level to suit different headphones and sources.
Digital and analog inputs and outputs are provided for integration with other audio equipment, and the unit uses a servo-controlled power supply designed to reduce unwanted electrical noise.
