The Danish company Ortofon has introduced a new version of its popular 2M moving magnet heads, designated 2MR .
It includes the same seven models from 2MR Red to 2MR Black LVB 250 , while retail prices have also not changed. The main feature of the new products is the ability to use heads with Rega turntables and other turntables with similar geometry without the need to adjust the height of the tonearm base using spacers.
This solution will allow owners of such turntables to easily install Ortofon 2MR cartridges on them and get the desired sound due to the correct vertical tracking angle. The new heads are fully compatible with regular replacement inserts from the Ortofon 2M series.
