The design utilizes a dynamic driver with an internal magnetic structure, and DSP algorithms for signal processing. The manufacturer emphasizes combining noise cancellation and maintaining sound balance, as well as tuning based on the proprietary HM acoustic curve. A six-microphone system is used for voice transmission and ANC, and the claimed noise cancellation depth reaches approximately 55 dB.

The KZ XTra Pro supports several operating modes. There's a standard mode for casual listening, an ANC mode for suppressing external noise, a transparency mode for communication and ambient awareness, and a gaming mode with a low latency of approximately 55 ms. This allows the headphones to be used not only for music, but also for video, mobile games, and calls.

With up to 40 hours of total battery life and multiple listening modes, the KZ XTra Pro adapts easily to music, gaming, and everyday use.
