The French company YBA has introduced a new product line named ‘Design'. This entry-level series features four models: the SACD transport YT302, the streamer and DA converter YD302, the preamplifier and headphone amplifier YP302, and the integrated amplifier YA302.
YBA Design YP302: Preamplifier and Headphone Amplifier
The YP302 functions as both a preamplifier and a headphone amplifier. It features two sets of RCA inputs and two sets of XLR inputs. Audio signals are output through a stereo RCA output and a stereo XLR output. There are no digital connection options available.
The front panel features four headphone jacks: a 4mm balanced jack, a 4-pin XLR balanced jack, a 6.35mm single-ended jack, and a 3.5mm single-ended jack, catering to the preferences of most audio enthusiasts. Centrally located on the front is a 5-inch touchscreen. The manufacturer claims that the YP302 can power even the most demanding headphones with its impressive output of 7.3 watts at 32 ohms. Inside, it is equipped with premium components, including a German 48VA UI transformer, a highly accurate PGA2320 volume control, and exclusive YBA capacitors. The dimensions of the YP302 are 32 x 26 x 8 centimeters, and it has a weight of six kilograms.
YBA Design YA302: Integrated amplifier
The YBA Design YA302 is a dynamic integrated amplifier, boasting a power output of 2 x 100 Watts at eight Ohms and 2 x 180 Watts at four Ohms. Limited details are available at this time. Additionally, the new YT302 (SA)CD transport provides True DSD Output, while the YD302 streaming DA converter is equipped with a Linux-based system that supports various streaming services and features a high-quality DAC audio circuit.
The YBA Design line will make its international debut at High End Munich 2025, located at stand L05 in Hall 3, where Mr. Yves-Bernard André will be present to address inquiries from attendees.
Prices and delivery information
The YBA Design YP302 preamplifier and headphone amplifier, along with the Design YT302 (SA)CD transport, are set to launch in May 2025, each priced at a recommended retail price of 3,200 euros. The Design YD302 streamer and DA converter are anticipated to be released in the summer of 2025, with the YA302 integrated amplifier scheduled for a fall release. Pricing details for these products have yet to be announced.
