Xiaomi announces the Redmi Note 11 line

Xiaomi has unveiled three new smartphones under the Redmi brand – Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro +.

Pro-models received almost identical characteristics and became one of the first smartphones based on the MediaTek Dimensity 920 5G chipset. It is manufactured by TSMC using a 6nm process technology in two high-performance Cortex-A78 cores.

Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro +

Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro + received a 6.67-inch AMOLED display manufactured by Samsung with a frequency of 120 Hz and a Full HD + resolution (2400 × 1080 pixels).

The younger Redmi Note 11 is equipped with a 6.6-inch IPS-screen with a similar resolution and a frequency of 90 Hz. The whole trio is liquid-cooled, which, according to the manufacturer, can reduce the temperature of the case by 3 degrees in comparison with the more classic solution.

108-megapixel main camera module

Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro + received a 108-megapixel main camera module with a pixel size of 2.1 microns and support for improved night mode. In addition to it, the new items are equipped with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2-megapixel macro lens. Redmi Note 11, however, received only the main module of 50 megapixels and “ultra-wide” 8 megapixels.

Redmi Note 11 Pro + is equipped with a 4500mAh battery and supports 120W ultra-fast charging. According to Xiaomi, it will take only 15 minutes to fully charge the smartphone. The corresponding charger is included in the package.

In Redmi Note 11 Pro, the battery is more capacious – at 5160 mAh, but fast charging is only 67 W (from 0 to 100% in 43 minutes). Redmi Note 11 received a 5000 mAh battery and fast charging with 33W (from 0 to 100% in 62 minutes).

The Note 11 series retains the 3.5mm jack, while the Pro versions use stereo speakers from JBL. There is also NFC on board, an infrared port for controlling equipment and Wi-Fi 6.

Chinese prices for new items:

  • Redmi Note 11 – from 1199 yuan ($190)
  • Redmi Note 11 Pro – from 1599 yuan ($250)
  • Redmi Note 11 Pro + – from 1899 yuan ($300)
