Redmi A1 will be the cheapest Redmi smartphone this year

The characteristics of the device are already known. They were revealed by the XiaomiUI portal dedicated to Xiaomi technology. In addition, live photos of the device got into the network. Redmi A1 has a 6.52-inch HD+ IPS screen with a 60Hz refresh rate. Rear dual camera, 8 + 2 megapixels. The front camera is single, 5 megapixels.

The hardware basis of Redmi A1 will be the Helio A22 chipset from MediaTek. The amount of RAM will be 2 GB, storage capacity – 32 GB. Inside the battery is 5000 mAh. There is no fast charging, only 10-watt.

The A1 will work under the Android 12 operating system with a proprietary MIUI Lite shell. And this is almost pure Android. The official announcement is scheduled for September 6th. Then they will release Redmi A1 Plus. It differs from Redmi A1 in the presence of a fingerprint scanner.
