TCL presented a huge QM891G TV at CES 2024 – it is built on a 115-inch panel with quantum dots and Mini LED backlighting. The new product also stands out with a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz (with VRR or 120 Hz in normal mode) and support for AMD FreeSync Premium, which makes it a good option for games.

The TV has 20,000 local dimming zones, which ensures high contrast. The brightness indicator is 5000 cd/m2 , which, according to the company, is 2.5 times the brightness of the “ brightest TV ever .” The new product also has an anti-glare coating, a 6.2.2-channel Dolby Atmos speaker system with upward-firing speakers and an ATSC 3.0 tuner
According to TechSpot , the new TCL QM891G TV is a version of the TCL X11G Max QD TV , available only in China, which has the same characteristics at a price of $13,000. And the FlatPanelsHD resource found out from a representative of the American division of TCL that the new product in the US will cost “less than $20,000” .
TCL also introduced at CES 2024 the QM8 series of QD-Mini LED TVs with screen diagonals from 75 to 98 inches, which also have a peak brightness of 5000 cd / m 2 , equipped with quantum dot panels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz (up to 144 Hz with VRR) and anti-glare coating, but the number of local dimming zones is much smaller – 5000. Specifications of the new products include a built-in 2.1.2-channel speaker system with Dolby Atmos support, support for Dolby Vision IQ technology and an ATSC 3.0 tuner.
In addition, the QM7 series QD-Mini LED TVs debuted at the exhibition with a screen diagonal of 55-98 inches, which have 1500 local dimming zones, peak brightness up to 2400 cd/m2 and Game Accelerator 240 mode, ensuring smooth gaming experience. It also reports support for HDR Ultra technologies with Dolby Vision IQ and a 2.1-channel speaker system with a built-in subwoofer.
