TCL Nxtframe: Ultra Slim TV with Bang & Olufsen Speakers

Nxtframe

TCL recently announced its partnership with the esteemed audio brand Bang & Olufsen to create innovative audio systems for televisions. The first series of Nxtframe TVs featuring B&O audio is now being introduced by TCL. TCL describes the Nxtframe TV as “the world’s thinnest all-in-one TV.” This new model measures just 1.1 inches in thickness (1.2 inches for the 85-inch variant) and includes a magnetic frame, a matte anti-glare display, and complimentary access to a collection of images that can be used as a screensaver.

TCL’s Nxtframe TVs are strategically aimed at competing with Samsung’s well-known The Frame, which offers comparable features but necessitates an external One Connect box and a costly art subscription. Additionally, Hisense has recently launched the CanvasTV series, intended to rival Samsung’s The Frame.

Similar to Samsung’s The Frame, TCL’s Nxtframe functions as a standard television while also serving as a digital photo frame when not actively in use. This model features a built-in art library and AI-generated art; however, TCL’s selection currently lacks iconic pieces such as the Mona Lisa, which are available in Samsung’s The Frame collection. The TCL Nxtframe operates on Google TV, granting users access to a vast array of applications. Additionally, it is compatible with Apple AirPlay 2 and Amazon Alexa.

TCL is introducing two variants of the A300 Nxtframe, with the A300 Pro equipped with a 3.1.2-channel Bang & Olufsen soundbar and an external subwoofer, along with a BeoSonic digital interface for sound customization. As an edge-lit LCD TV, it may not rank highly in picture quality compared to models such as the TCL X8 and X9, which feature zone dimming. However, the Pro’s audio system is expected to surpass that of most televisions.

Scott Ramirez , Vice President of Product Marketing and Development at TCL, said, “With a slim cream bezel, included light wood magnetic bezel, matte antiglare screen, and a flush-mount wall mount, TCL ’s Nxtframe TVs complement virtually any home décor. Plus, TCL ’s advanced AiPQ processor helps bring digital art to life. The addition of our Pro Series in partnership with takes Nxtframe to a whole new level, combining great sound with unrivaled design . ”

The TCL A 300 Nxtframe TVs are currently on the market in the U.S., offered in sizes of 55, 65, 75, and 85 inches, with prices beginning at $1,500. Meanwhile, the A 300 Pro model starts at $2,000. An optional floor stand will be introduced in September, priced at $700, while table or shelf feet will be available for $150.
