Samsung OLED 2025: Early details about Samsung’s upcoming smart TVs have surfaced ahead of CES

Samsung OLED 2025

Samsung is sticking to its usual routine and will showcase its new TVs for 2025 at CES in Las Vegas this January. Even before the event kicks off, some details about their latest high-end OLED models have already surfaced.

The new Samsung S85F, S90F, and S95F TVs have received certification from South Korea’s National Radio Research Agency (thanks to Display Specifications for the scoop). It looks like the S95F will combine QD-OLED and WOLED panels, similar to what we saw with Samsung’s 2024 lineup. The only way to tell the different panels apart will be through small name suffixes. If you see a “T” at the end, that means it has a QD-OLED panel, while an “E” indicates a WOLED panel. The S95F is expected to be available in sizes up to 83 inches.

There are also some regional variations to keep in mind. For instance, in Germany and the UK, the 83-inch S95F will come with a QD-OLED panel, but in Italy, the Netherlands, and Hungary, it will only be offered with a WOLED panel. This could make things a bit tricky for buyers, so it’s wise to double-check before making a purchase.

Samsung S90F also mixes colorful QD-OLED and WOLED panels

This year, we were really blown away by Samsung’s models. Take the S95D with its QD-OLED panel, for instance; it delivers an incredibly bright picture and works well in well-lit rooms thanks to its anti-reflection coating. There are whispers that the next generation will have even more improvements. On the downside, it seems like the South Korean brand will still skip Dolby Vision, which might turn off some potential buyers.
