LG has released StanbyME Go – A portable 27-inch TV in a shockproof case

The LG StanbyME Go can be tilted and rotated 90 degrees clockwise, and the height can be adjusted within 18 centimeters.

LG has announced the StanbyME Go 27LX5, a portable TV built into a travel case. The device is equipped with a 27-inch 1080p touch panel, 20W speakers and an internal battery that provides up to 3 hours of use on a single charge.

The LG StanbyME Go can be tilted and rotated 90 degrees clockwise, and the height can be adjusted within 18 centimeters. Users can choose landscape or portrait orientation or use it in desktop mode. There is built-in support for Dolby Vision. The TV comes with a set of 20-watt speakers that adapt to the angle of inclination and support Dolby Atmos content.

The device runs on the LG webOS platform used by the company’s smart TVs and allows content to be streamed from smartphones to iOS or Android via AirPlay and screen sharing. There is also an HDMI port for cable connection. The voice recognition function allows you to operate your TV hands-free, making it easy to do tasks like change channels or search for content. LG StanbyME Go is equipped with a battery that can provide up to three hours of work without recharging. The case also stores the remote control and power cable.

Not so simple and TV case. The company claims it has passed 11 U.S. Department of Defense durability tests to ensure it is resistant to low pressure, high and low temperatures, dust, vibration, corrosion, shock and drops.

The LG StanbyME Go is priced at around $885 and will be available for purchase starting July 7th through LG online stores and authorized resellers.
