Antelope Audio released the first i8 active studio monitors in its history , which received a three-way design.
They have two 8″ woofers in an isobaric configuration and a coaxial driver that includes a 5.5″ midrange driver and a 1.5″ soft dome tweeter. The total power of built-in amplifiers in class D is 400 watts , 200 watts for the low-frequency section and 100 watts for the midrange and treble.
Maximum sound pressure level – 117 dB / 1 m , each monitor weighs 24 kg. The built-in DAC can work with a 24/192 signal, the input on the AES/EBU connector is used for connection. For analog signal sources, a combined XLR/TRS input is provided. The crossover filter in monitors is digital, with a built-in four-band equalizer.
The Antelope Audio Atlas i8 active monitors went on sale in the European market at a price of 2495 euros apiece.
