Lego Ferrari 488 GTE AF Corse #51: Introduces the brand’s fans to the adrenaline-filled world of circuit racing

The LEGO® Group unveils the latest model from the starting grid, the LEGO® Technic ™ Ferrari 488 GTE “AF CORSE # 51”. With various awards won for the brand with the legendary symbol of the horse, in the most difficult races on the circuit, this iconic model is now reproduced in detail, to convey the same unmistakable air as the original.

The model incorporates authentic aspects and unique design elements, being an exact replica of the Ferrari circuit model. With an aggressive look, it includes front-rear suspensions, aerodynamic lines, a V8 engine with moving pistons and a steering wheel with the brand symbol, the goat horse, for more authenticity. The original race number, stickers with sponsors and tricolor paint complement an epic model.

Designed to help LEGO fans and racing enthusiasts feel the thrills associated with the speedway on the circuit, the 48cm (19inch) model is made of 1677 LEGO Technic pieces, making it a captivating and rewarding project for fans over the age of 18, passionate about circuit racing, motorsport and Ferrari cars. Once completed, the model can be tested or just exposed.

LEGO® Technic ™ 42125 Ferrari 488 GTE “AF Corse # 51” will be available starting January 1, 2021, in the partner retail stores LEGO and LEGO.com, at the recommended price of 899 RON.

“The chance to reproduce a Ferrari model in LEGO Technic shape is a childhood dream come true ,” says Lars Krogh Jensen, LEGO Technic Designer. ” Ferrari is known for incredible cars, so I knew I had to push the boundaries of the LEGO Technic system to pay homage to this iconic circuit model. The model reproduces the sophisticated silhouette of the original, including technical details, in order to reproduce the true nature of the 488 GTE. Its construction is a challenge for any fan who appreciates an excellent design and wants to know more details of engineering and technology that this impressive model has . ”

” When I was little I used to play with LEGO bricks quite often, so when I saw this replica of the Ferrari 488 GTE I was really impressed, especially considering some of the aspects they managed to reproduce. I must admit that I was very proud to see a LEGO Technic model of a driven model, which even bore my name. Said Alessandro Pier Guidi, Ferrari Racing GT racing driver

LEGO® Technic ™ 42125 Ferrari 488 GTE “AF Corse # 51” is the first LEGO Technic model created with Ferrari and continues a partnership between the two brands for over 15 years.
