BlueStacks 5: Android Emulator Redesigned For Significant Acceleration

Today, February 15, we presented the latest version of the Android emulator – BlueStacks 5. The developer completely changed the software to make it faster and more stable. Unfortunately, the system, as before, emulates only the Android 7.1.2 Nougat operating system, released back in 2016.

As a reminder, the first version of BlueStacks was launched in 2018. The program is absolutely free for users. Its main purpose is to provide access to applications and games from the Google Play Store from a personal computer or laptop. The emulator works on Windows 10 or macOS.

The developers claim that BlueStacks 5 downloads, installs and launches applications much faster compared to the previous version. You can check it now by reading the beta version of the emulator .

What to note is that developer BlueStacks is more gamer-oriented. This can be traced, for example, in the features of the emulator’s keyboard – the layout is adapted for many popular games. However, using the program is no less convenient to launch applications for social networks, instant messengers and other products. The only nuance that needs to be taken into account is that all selected applications must be adapted for Android 7.1.2 Nougat.

According to Android Authority, users who have already tested the beta version of the program are happy with the update. After installation, the system prompts you to perform a number of standard settings, as when you first launch a new Android smartphone. After that it will take a little time to load the data. Next, the user is asked to log in using a Google account to enter the Play Store – now you can download any applications.

The journalists emphasize that BlueStacks 5 is much better than its predecessor: it is easier to configure parameters, macros, graphic properties and other options. Nevertheless, they recorded cases when the emulator threw the user out of the application and offered to buy a subscription for the second time, for which money had already been paid. Critics point out that over time, more and more new applications will not work correctly with Android 7.1.2, which means that BlueStacks 5 will also become outdated and will need another major update.
