Samsung has quietly released an inexpensive Galaxy Tab A9 tablet in a metal case. The new product appeared on the official website of the manufacturer in Guatemala and on the Amazon website in the UAE. Some press materials also mention the Galaxy Tab A9+ model, but at the moment its detailed characteristics and cost are not disclosed.
Powering the Galaxy Tab A9 is the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM. The device has 64 GB of permanent memory; it is possible to increase the storage capacity up to 1 TB using a microSD card. The tablet’s page in the Amazon store lists another modification with 8/128 GB of memory. Galaxy Tab A9 is equipped with an 8.7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 800×1340 pixels.

Galaxy Tab A9+ features an 11-inch display and fifth-generation cellular support. Previous leaks indicated that the tablet is built on the Snapdragon 695 platform. Its memory configuration is the same as the base model. Both devices have stereo speakers with surround sound and run Android 13 with One UI 5.1 skin. There is no information about cameras and battery capacity on these sites.
Along with it, the South Korean company released the Galaxy Tab A9+ model with a larger screen and a different processor.
Some details regarding the software of the new products are also known. Users will be able to share photos, videos and documents using the Quick Share feature, which allows you to instantly send files from your tablet to other nearby Galaxy devices or even multiple devices in a couple of taps. In addition, Galaxy Tab A9 and Tab A9+ offer you to store important data in a secure folder and monitor the device’s security status in the privacy panel.
The cost of the Galaxy Tab A9 in the basic configuration with LTE connectivity is $190
