Kickstarter is full of ambitious projects, but few take off as quickly as the AInote 2 Paper Tablet. Launched on September 9, the campaign hit its modest funding goal of $8,600 USD in just five minutes. By September 12, it had raised more than $183,000 USD, showing just how much attention the ultra-thin E Ink device has attracted.
According to Notebookcheck, the AInote 2 positions itself as a direct competitor to devices like the Remarkable Paper Pro and Onyx Boox. Its standout feature is its form factor: at just 4.2 mm thick, it’s officially the world’s thinnest E Ink tablet. For comparison, the popular Remarkable 2 measures 4.7 mm.
