Yamaha unveils SR-B40A with Wireless Subwoofer and Full Range SR-B30A soundbars

Yamaha SR-B40A with Wireless Subwoofer and Full Range SR-B30A

Yamaha has released two new soundbars designed for smaller rooms, the SR-B30A and the SR-B40A bundle with a subwoofer . The soundbar itself, with dimensions of 6.8 x 91 cm (height and width), is quite capable of being placed on a cabinet in front of the TV and not blocking its screen.

This is a fairly compact option, but, nevertheless, it provides support for Dolby Atmos and various sound modes. The soundbar itself has a central broadband and a pair of two tweeters on the sides. They account for up to 50 watts per channel. The bundled SR-B40A wireless subwoofer outputs up to 100 watts.

The recess on the back of the soundbar has an optical port and an HDMI connector with eARC and CEC support – the power and volume of the soundbars can be controlled from the TV remote control. Much more control options are found in the Yamaha Sound Bar Remote app. An alternative is the remote control included in the kit.

In addition, the novelties support Bluetooth, and the manufacturer promised a sound that “envelops you and takes you deeper into the story that unfolds on the screen.” This should be achieved, in particular, with the improved Clear Voice and Bass Extension software features. In addition, you can customize the sound of the soundbars in four sound modes – “Cinema”, “Stereo”, “Standard” and “Game”. In addition to them, there is also a tone control.

In the UK, the Yamaha SR-B40A soundbar costs £450 and the SR-B30A without subwoofer costs £300.
