WiiM, a company focused on providing cost-effective network audio solutions, is making its debut in the wireless smart speaker sector with the launch of the WiiM Sound model, alongside the introduction of the WiiM Sub Pro subwoofer at the Munich exhibition. The company views these innovations as a significant advancement in the evolution of the WiiM ecosystem.

WiiM Sound Wireless Smart Speaker

The WiiM Sound is a wireless smart speaker featuring a touch screen, support for high-definition streaming, and an integrated sound correction system designed to adapt to the room’s acoustic properties. Meanwhile, the WiiM Sub Pro is a powerful 250-watt active subwoofer equipped with an automatic sound correction system and options for both wired and wireless connectivity. Both devices can function as part of the WiiM ecosystem or operate independently, connecting through the WiiM Home App for mobile devices.

WiiM Sound Wireless Smart Speaker

According to Dr. Lifeng Zhao, the head of the WiiM brand, the introduction of the WiiM Sound and WiiM Sub Pro marks a pivotal moment in addressing a market segment where high-quality audio, multi-room functionality, user-friendliness, and affordability are seldom found. The compact WiiM Sound speaker, measuring 146×146×193 mm, delivers an impressive 100 W of power through its 4-inch woofer and dual tweeters. This innovative product supports high-resolution streaming up to 24 bit / 192 kHz, promising ‘exceptional sound quality,’ and is compatible with Chromecast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, DLNA, and Alexa Cast. For network integration, users can opt for a wireless Wi-Fi 6E connection (802.11 b/g/n/ac/ax, 2.4 GHz/5 GHz/6 GHz) or a wired Ethernet connection, and it also includes a Bluetooth version 5.3 adapter.

To achieve a genuine multi-room experience with multiple WiiM Sound speakers in your home, you can control them using the app or the Google Alexa voice assistant.

WiiM Sub Pro Active Wireless Subwoofer

The WiiM Sub Pro active subwoofer delivers 250 W of power and features an 8-inch driver along with a Class D amplifier. According to the manufacturer, its operational frequency range spans from 25 to 200 Hz.
