Sony LSPX-S3: Bluetooth speaker with transparent tweeter and four lighting modes

The Sony LSPX-S3 Bluetooth speaker is not like its many brethren. Firstly, it is also a lamp with four lighting modes (for example, it can flicker like a candle) and 32 brightness levels.

Secondly, the plastic cylinder, which gave the new product the name Glass Sound and gave the LSPX-S3 the appearance of either a candle or a kerosene lamp, is also a high-frequency module operating at 360 °. Three drivers installed on it are responsible for the sound.

The rest of the frequency range is handled by an upward (and also sounding 360 °) speaker. The system is promised a frequency range of 20 Hz – 20 kHz and a digital signal resolution at the level of a CD. The LSPX-S3 is equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 with AAC and LDAC technologies. Speaker control is available through the Music Center app – you can turn on the bass boost mode, as well as combine two Sony LSPX-S3 in stereo pair mode.

The built-in LSPX-S3 battery lasts for eight hours of battery life, including phone calls – for which the LSPX-S3 was equipped with a built-in microphone.

The speaker in a silver case will be released in August 2021 and is already available for pre-order. In Europe, the Sony LSPX-S3 Bluetooth speaker costs 350 euros.
