Sony HT-S2000: Compact soundbar with Dolby Atmos

Sony has released a new model of the HT S2000 soundbar, on the basis of which you can build a full-fledged home theater.

The soundbar is 80cm wide x 6.4cm deep and weighs 3.7kg and is equipped with five dynamic drivers arranged in a 3.1 configuration . Three full-range speakers sound the right, left and center channels, the reproduction of low-frequency effects is entrusted to two quadrangular woofers X-Balanced Speaker Unit , loaded on long tubes of an original-shaped phase inverter.

The total power of the built-in amplifiers is 250 watts , the physical connection of signal sources is possible through an optical digital input and an HDMI (eARC) port . The model supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X decoding , and S-Force PRO Front Surround and Vertical Surround Engine processors and algorithms are responsible for creating a convincing illusion of surround sound .

The model’s wireless capabilities include Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi adapters. To create a complete surround sound system, the soundbar can be supplemented with Sony SA-RS3S wireless satellites and SA-SW5 or SA-SW3 subwoofers . The soundbar is controlled through the Sony Home Entertainment Connect mobile app .

The Sony HT-S2000 soundbar will go on sale in the European market in June 2023 at a price of 499 euros .
