Ruark R810: Flagship model of the wireless acoustics series unveiled

It’s been ten years since Ruark Audio introduced the stylish R7 all-in-one wireless audio system, a “modern take on the iconic radio.” In 2016, the company updated the model with the release of the R7 mk2 . And now, Ruark has introduced the third generation of this large monoblock 2.1 wireless audio system, designated 810 .

Ruark R810 Wireless Audio System

Ruark Audio 810 is the flagship model of the wireless acoustics series, which also includes the previously released Ruark R410 . The larger R810 features the same fresh-for-Ruark design and sits on the included chrome legs. That is, unlike the R410, this is a floor-standing audio system. Like the R410, the new product is distinguished by hand-made wooden elements of the case and decorative grille, as well as a 4-inch color TFT screen on the front panel and an updated proprietary RotoDial controller on the top wall of the case. The set includes a stylish rechargeable remote control in the form of a RotoDial.

Ruark R810 Wireless Audio System

The Ruark R810 wireless audio system supports AirPlay 2, Chromecast, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Bluetooth aptX and UPnP. The system’s switching arsenal includes an HDMI eARC port, an optical digital input, a USB-C port and even an MM input -phono stage. There is also a tuner, both analog FM and digital DAB/DAB+, as well as Internet radio. The system’s DAC is capable of decoding PCM streams with resolutions up to 32-bit/384 kHz.

Ruark R810 Wireless Audio System

The Ruark R810 wireless audio system is equipped with amplifiers with a total power of 180 Watts, and they operate in class A/B (the R410 model uses amplifiers operating in class D). The high-frequency range here is entrusted to a pair of tweeters with silk domes with a diameter of 30 mm. The mid/low frequency range is served by two speakers with paper diffusers with a diameter of 10 cm. The low-frequency foundation is provided by a subwoofer with a paper diffuser with a diameter of 20 cm.

The new Ruark 810 wireless audio system is available in two finishes: gray lacquer or walnut veneer. The model’s recommended retail price in the UK is £3,000 . In other countries – 4,499 US dollars .
