Pylon Amber MKII: Second generation Amber loudspeakers

The Polish company Pylon introduces the second generation of Pylon Amber loudspeakers , which received the mkII suffix . This large two-way floor column tweeter employed in the design of the acoustic horn with a profile Tractrix . Strictly speaking, the compression tweeter from the German company BMS can be called a mid-high-frequency radiator, since its area of responsibility begins very early – from 1.2 kHz.

Below this mark, two 12-inch drivers come into play, providing an impressive low-frequency foundation – the speaker’s lower cut-off frequency is indicated at 32 Hz. The novelty has a high sensitivity reaching 97 dB at a nominal impedance of 4 ohms. The maximum power input can reach an impressive 400 watts, while the manufacturer claims that the speakers are capable of sounding a hall with an area of up to 100 square meters.

Pylon Amber mkII offers a wide range of finishes. Only oak veneer, impregnated with oil and wax, a choice of 11 shades. In addition to oak, there are variants of various types of wood with varnish coating, several variants of color varnished coating and, finally, painting on request from the RAL palette .

The Pylon Amber mkII speakers are already available in Europe . The MSRP for standard finishes is € 4,500 per pair of speakers.
