Polk Audio Releases Original MagniFi Mini AX Soundbar
Renowned American audio manufacturer Polk Audio is expanding its lineup with the new super- compact MagniFi Mini AX soundbar complete with wireless subwoofer. Despite its size, the new product offers rich functionality and support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X surround formats .
Measuring just 37 cm long, the soundbar houses a set of 5 speakers that, together with the subwoofer, deliver “explosive bass, crystal-clear highs and a 3D surround soundstage on par with much larger competitors,” the manufacturer claims.
In addition to Dolby Atmos and DTS:X , the soundbar offers Polk ‘s exclusive SDA technology , which promises detailed and multi-dimensional realistic sound. And a dedicated 3D Audio Mode adds a virtual high channel to any standard audio track for an immersive experience. Another patented technology, VoiceAdjust , aims to deliver clear dialogue without affecting the quality of other sounds. For the convenience of users, MagniFi Mini AX offers four optimally configured operating modes – Music, Movie, 3D and night mode.
With support for Apple AirPlay2 , Google Chromecast and Spotify Connect , MagniFi Mini AX makes it easy to stream music from your mobile devices or computer. A Bluetooth channel is also available for the same purpose .
The subwoofer can be placed up to 9 meters away from the soundbar. To enhance low frequencies, the device has a BassAdjust function .
For wired connections, ARC/eARC-enabled HDMI connectors (HDMI cable included), optical and AUX-in are available . The device is equipped with a remote control, and the OLED indicator display facilitates the control process. Polk also says the MagniFi Mini AX is programmed to work with most TV remotes. “With over 50 years of experience in hi-fi design, Polk understands how to make quality sound accessible to everyone. With the MagniFi Mini AX soundbar , customers will get a quality that would cost 2-3 times more in the market, ”says the manufacturer.
The advertised price for the MagniFi Mini AX is $499.
To enhance the spatial effect , Polk offers a pair of SR2 wireless rear speakers for $169.
