Omnia: Next-gen wireless speaker for Sonus faber quality anywhere

Italian loudspeaker manufacturer Sonus faber (est. 1983) has launched a next-generation premium-quality wireless home audio system, Omnia.

Omnia combines Sonus faber’s rich Italian heritage and design expertise with a suite of advanced features to allow music lovers to connect wirelessly, with new, innovative technologies, seamlessly integrating Sonus faber’s signature natural sound into any environment.

Omnia is a 490-watt, DSP-optimised, seven speaker home audio system that benefits from the latest wireless connectivity, including: Apple AirPlay 2; Chromecast Built-in; Spotify® Connect; TIDAL connect and Bluetooth AptX HD; it is also Roon Ready. Omnia’s elevated-quality Italian design and authentic wood surface (available in Walnut and Graphite) will enhance any home environment.

Sonus Faber Omnia

Omnia benefits from two new trademarked Sonus faber technologies: SENSO and CRESCENDO. The touch-sensitive SENSO interface allows users to directly control Omnia, plus easily connect to any digital source wirelessly. Illuminated lines on the SENSO top panel indicate the speakers’ mode, input and volume. The intuitive interface also allows users to enjoy their favourite music using the latest streaming technologies and services.

In addition to wireless connectivity, Omnia includes a wired Ethernet connection, plus HDMI ARC to enhance TV sound with a single direct connection. Users can also connect turntables thanks to Omnia’s built-in (MM) phono stage, plus one other (analogue) home audio device, via the unit’s switchable RCA input.

Sonus faber’s CRESCENDO technology is an advanced signal-processing system (DSP) that introduces a greater sense of dimensionality and immersivity, cleverly utilising the two full-range side speakers.

Sonus Faber Omnia

Omnia benefits from three-dimensional sound to immerse listeners in a unique, natural acoustic experience, with class-leading clarity and a wide soundstage that mimics live performances, in line with the tradition of Sonus faber’s iconic, award-winning loudspeaker portfolio. Omnia benefits from a 490-watt amplifier with seven high-quality loudspeaker drivers.

Sonus faber’s Chief Design Officer, Livio Cucuzza, said: “For me, Omnia was a complete journey exploring Sonus faber’s vast history, but made at two-times the speed.

“With every project, my job is to tell the brand’s story and with Omnia, the mission was the same, the process was just faster and went more in depth. In its new, more accessible category, Omnia will offer a taste of Sonus faber’s 40-year history to thousands of new customers, ambitious of course, but also gratifying.”

The Omnia is priced at £1,599 and available now.
