Moondrop M4P-MTM: Passive desktop monitor loudspeaker

Moondrop M4P-MTM

Moondrop M4P-MTM is a new passive desktop monitor loudspeaker designed for precise sound control. The design is based on a two-way circuit with a pair of 4-inch Kevlar midbass drivers and an aluminum-magnesium alloy dome tweeter. This combination allows for a balanced sound with natural midrange and high detail in the high frequencies.

The body is made of wood and covered with matte paint, which reduces unwanted resonances and makes the acoustics visually universal for various interiors. The built-in crossover is designed for precise frequency separation without the use of DSP, which preserves the naturalness of the sound.

The rear panel is equipped with double terminals, which allows you to connect an external active crossover and separately control the frequency ranges. An external amplifier is required to operate the M4P-MTM, and the best option is the Moondrop PA160 – a model with an output power of 160 watts per channel at a load of 4 ohms. The amplifier supports various equalization modes and a wide range of inputs, including XLR, RCA, Bluetooth and USB. It is possible to integrate a subwoofer to expand the low-frequency range.

The M4P-MTM is focused on professional and semi-professional tasks, providing stable characteristics even off-axis listening. This approach makes the acoustics suitable for both sound work and everyday use.
