Edifier Huazai New Play: A Transparent Hi-Res Bluetooth Speaker with RGB Flair and Serious Sound

Edifier has introduced a unique Bluetooth speaker, the Huazai New Play, which features an industrial design with a transparent casing and delivers high-quality sound. Priced at 512 yuan (approximately 72 US dollars), this innovative device boasts a sound system that includes a 66 mm midrange driver, a 16 mm tweeter, and a passive radiator, producing an output of 50 W. It supports audio resolutions up to 24 bit / 96 Hz and is compatible with Hi-Res Audio. Users can connect the speaker to a signal source using a USB-C port or via Bluetooth 6.0, which offers a range of 30 meters. Additionally, the speaker can connect to two signal sources simultaneously and can be paired with another New Play speaker for a stereo experience.

The vibrant party ambiance is enhanced by RGB lighting that synchronizes with the music. Users have the option to customize a staggering 16.8 million color combinations.

There are four preset modes available: ‘outdoors’, ‘game’, ‘movie’, and ‘music’. The device is powered by a 2600 mAh battery, providing up to 15 hours of music playback with the backlight off and 5 hours with the backlight on. Its dimensions are 183.8 × 108.1 × 94.97 mm, and it weighs 1.02 kg.
