The conceptual stereo system Brionvega Totem rr231 , which first entered the market in the early seventies of the last century, received a rebirth.

Like a set of furniture, the set is a complete Hi-Fi system with two three-way speakers and a central unit that houses all the electronic components.

They include a Pro-Ject turntable with an Ortofon cartridge , a phono stage, an AM/FM/DAB+ tuner, and a 125 watts per channel power amplifier . There’s also an aptX HD – enabled Bluetooth module , complete with an on-chip DAC from Texas Instruments. Two RCA line inputs are provided for connecting external signal sources. The set of outputs includes a preamp output, a subwoofer output and a 6.35 mm headphone jack.

When folded, the system looks like a cube measuring 52.5 x 52.5 x 52.5 cm and weighing 45.5 kilograms . Each set is numbered and signed by the creator of the original concept, designer Mario Bellini. Produced by Brionvega Totem rr231 in Italy and sold for $18,000.
