BETONart Tonale Pro: Powerful 280-kilogram speaker housed in a concrete cabinet

BETONart Audio, a German loudspeaker maker, specializes in crafting speakers with concrete enclosures, as their name suggests. Their Tonale Pro model is an impressive active floorstander that really stands out. Each speaker tips the scales at a hefty 280 kilograms and stands 180 centimeters tall. With a whopping 2,600 Watts of amplifier power per speaker, you can imagine the sound it delivers. And yeah, with that kind of weight, you can expect some serious delivery fees too.

BETONart Audio Tonale Pro: heavy, heavier, heaviest

The BETONart Tonale Pro showcases a classic Bauhaus design that the creators claim fits seamlessly into any setting. Sure, you’ll need to bring the speakers indoors, and the floor should be sturdy enough to support them. But once that’s sorted, it really makes a statement. With its thoughtfully chosen components, it raises the bar in the audiophile scene, blending technical excellence with a sound experience that truly resonates emotionally, all while reflecting top-notch craftsmanship.

The enclosure’s weight and build are all about achieving maximum rigidity. The Tonale Pro features a heavy and uniquely rigid carbon concrete design made up of three acoustically isolated modules. These are just three separate enclosures stacked together, which also helps with transport. Thanks to these design choices, you get bass that’s precise and free from resonance, along with a natural sound. According to BETONart, power and subtlety come together, letting listeners dive into epic soundscapes while catching every delicate harmonic detail.

The overall size is 180 x 42 x 50 centimeters (H x W x D). If you check out the photos, you’ll notice that the Tonale Pro features five drivers. Each speaker is equipped with five amplifiers: two at 1,000 Watts and three at 200 Watts. It covers a frequency range from 25 Hz to 30 kHz. You can connect the music signal using either a cinch or XLR cable, or go wireless with the WiSA protocol. The DA conversion is handled by an ESS Technology DAC chip. Plus, with Audio Smart Control (ASC) on your tablet or smartphone, you get a ton of options for adjusting the tone and sound.
