GARMIN UNVEILS NEW FORERUNNER SMARTWATCH WITH A SCREEN SIMILAR TO THE LATEST APPLE WATCH

Garmin has introduced three new models of the popular Forerunner smartwatch series for athletes. All new items boast enhanced personal training options and excellent AMOLED displays. By the way, these are the brightest screens that Garmin has ever installed on their devices. Thus, it will be much easier for athletes to monitor their performance even on the sunniest days.

Forerunner 965 is Garmin’s flagship smartwatch, featuring a 1.4-inch 454×454 display with Always-on Display. The screen is framed by a titanium frame and protected by Gorilla Glass DX. The watch weighs 53g. For this model, Garmin offers advanced training metrics and recovery information to help you achieve your best performance and prepare for your next adventure. There are workout tips widgets, daily personalized recommendations, and run completion time predictions based on route, weather, and conditions (including sleep quality, heart rate, and more).

The range of smartwatches for runners has been replenished with three models with the best screens and all the necessary features

Scheduled daily workouts on the Garmin Connect calendar adapt to the athlete’s condition based on their performance. In addition, the Forerunner 965 offers pre-built profiles for triathlon, duathlon, swimming and more. They are selected and switched at the touch of a button, and you can customize your own templates. The watch supports SatIQ technology, which provides highly accurate positioning, as well as the ClimbPro function, which provides real-time distance and climb information – for mountain walkers. The battery life of the Forerunner 965 is 31 hours with GPS on and 23 days in regular watch mode. The Garmin Forerunner 965 will go on sale at the end of March for $600.

Forerunner 265 and 265S are mid-range models. They are equipped with all the features that consumers expect to see in a typical smartwatch, including the ability to listen to music streaming services without connecting to a smartphone. In addition, there are features such as accident detection, location broadcast (LiveTrack) and support for contactless payments Garmin Pay. These models are equipped with sensors to determine the level of oxygen in the blood and monitor the heart rate. The watch can track breathing, sleep and stress levels. They differ only in size: Forerunner 265S – 42 mm, 1.1-inch screen, weight 39 g; Forerunner 265 – 46mm, 1.3″ screen, weight 47g.

The battery life of the Forerunner 265 and 265S isn’t as impressive as the Forerunner 955, but it’s decent. The smaller model can last up to 24 hours with GPS enabled and 15 days in regular watch mode. For the larger model, these figures are respectively 20 hours and 13 days. Both versions cost $450.
