This autofocus lens is specially designed for APS-C cameras. It has high optical properties. The optical scheme consists of 16 elements divided into 11 groups. Among them are three lenses made of low dispersion glass and four lenses made of glass with a high refractive index. Through the use of HD Nano multilayer anti-reflective coating, light transmission is increased and flare and ghosting are reduced.

The lenses are made of HOYA special nitrate material imported from Japan.
